Look what a bad UIM Gasket can do.....

This is an engine I picked up to get some parts from - mostly the heads - which are fine

The owner left the coolant in the oil for about 2 weeks...

When I pulled the oil pan off, I had a big grin

The guy I got the engine from told me it had a rod knock....

Must have been one hell of a rod knock..

Im not sure what type of coolant, but I do know that any glycol based coolant is REALLY bad for the bearings...

The bottom end of this motor is junk, but I was very surprised that the piston didnt hit the head at all... took a good beating to get it out of the cylinder though..
