soo screw a top swap i want a nasty BOV! but i know sh!t about turbos n such. im looking on ebay not at them b/s kits. i plan on building not buying a whole kit. i got 60 days no rush. is this a good start?

I also don't know much about turbos and was thinking of building a setup myself, but this one seems too cheap. I understand the concept and running the air through a front intercooler. But I'm a decent welder and have made different parts and tools myself that didn't require absolute machine precision. What parts would be needed to build a turbo setup?

Ebay may sell something that suits your imitation-sound needs without the hassle of a turbo build that requires an IQ higher than your age.
 
okk douch bags i was summin it up basically n was kinda kidding with NASTY BOV! im not a dumb little ricer. im just looking for a project while im down and needed hel spending the $1400 i have saved and then sum but screw it fail post. mod close thread

It takes more than $1400 to get a turbo setup running correctly. Come back after you answer my first question and you have $4,000 you never want to see again.

$1,400 is pocket change for a turbo setup. Like FoSH said, $4k easily for a correct build not including a transmission that won't last with a turbo. And, if you have no clue as to about a turbo, don't do it. If you can't even tune, don't do it. It's not like you can just slap a turbo on and call it a day.
 
thats all i was looking for thanks guys. ive decided im going to keep saving, fix the small things and try n get a couple grand for the gt and get a gtp and go from there.
