Limiter question..

First off I bought the car sunday picked it up tuesday, took it to my mechanic who actually owns a performance shop here in town he looked over said everything was in tip top shape so i decided to go off today to the back roads and see how everything faired..... i should have brought a towel to clean up the mess i made on the seat.. haha.. anywho so im flying around takin some turns..handles like a dream.. everything is fine there and i hit about a 5 miles straight away.. so i said alright ima top it out.. I floor it and it climbs.. and climbs ( fairly quick, yall know how it is :P ) and im coming up to 100+ so i was thinkg alright its gonna pop at 110 cool.. at least thats what i expected... next thing you know im looking at the hud display on my windshield..... 127mph.. quick glance down the needle is burried .so i start to slow thinking what the hell thats fricken AWESOME!!!

before this car was mine it was some ladies.. i checked the pulley no scratches or any signs of any mods?
So im here scratching my ehad wondering if my car had a limiter to begin with and if so.. wth happen to it?

now im not complaining but just curious

any ideas?!
 


i have the same car u have,congrats on that.i think,dont quote me but i think the limiter on our car is 130 mph.Get a pcm and that limiter goes bye bye.ive reached 145 and still had more to go.thats fast enuff for me ;)
