Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I had been noticing a little moisture around my center bolts on my lower intake. No real coolant loss to speak of. Did not want to wait for the worst.

After much reading I decided to do my LIM Gaskets. Also did VC gaskets while I had the engine stripped down. Not as difficult as I was expecting. It is definately a job from a time standpoint. Started at roughly 6:30 this morning. Finished the job at around 4:00 this afternoon.

New coolant and a fresh oil change. Engine is now ready to go.

I'm thinking that tomorrow it will be time for the tranny service.

Thought I would share.

Thanks Bill. I've been a do it yourself guy my whole life. I did quite a bit of research. I installed GM's upgraded gaskets. My old ones were the plastic design. There were some leaks starting to develop. It was time.

I went through this same job on my daughters Grand Am a couple months back The 3.4 in her car was worse. Extended over several evenings. I also did the head gaskets. Runs well with no overheating. She is happy.

I hear what you are saying. The 3.4l is definately in a differant class from the 3.8l. My daughters 1st car. Hopefully it will last her through college. Roughly another year.

I paid to have mine done. No time with work. Only cost me $200 for a labor at a performance shopish by me that does side work for there insane turbo builds.

$200.00 isn't bad at all. Good to know people.

Still not too bad of a job if someone wants to tackle it on their on. Just takes time if you have it available.
