ok well ive been into car audio for close to 4 years now and know enough to install most things and can fairly well adjust my amps..but i have a question that me and my friend whos been into it way longer disagree on as i wanna buy a bigger amp(1000-1500), but right now i have a crunch g2150 600watt 2ch amp powering my 2 12" hifonics brutus dvc subs that are 600rms/watts each.
And my friend says the amp is puttin out 600 watts rms(so 300 per sub) but i disagreed cuz ik that the # on the amp is almost never what its puttin out.so i looked up its specs and the rms rating on that amp is 150-500watts not 600 but the amp does say 600watts when wired to a 4ohm load which my subs are so am i right or is my friend??

Also, how big of an amp would i need to run the full 600 rms to each sub,i was thinking that id need a an amp puttin out 1200rms but idk.:th_scratchhead: as i am doing a new set up in the achieva cuz well the bass i get from the one functioning stock 6x9 is sooooo awsome but i think my subs can do better ;)..so my plan was to run the 4x6s in the doors off my jvc deck, run the 6x9s im gonna use off the old mtx 400watt 4ch amp that i have and then run my subs off the crunch 600watt 2 ch amp till i can aquire a bigger amp(i loved how they sounded with the 1400 i had on em b4 the damn thing died :th_tongue2:)..all powered by 0 gauge from the battery to a distribution block on my box then 4 gauge to the amps and this same set up for the ground.
any suggestions are welcome because well..i still dunno 1/4 of what i prolly shpould bout this stuff

If your Crunch is 2ch, chances are it won't put out 600w RMS. Give us a budget and some more specs (RMS/peak, ohms per coil, how they're wired, etc.

If they're dual 4's and you're on a budget, my current suggestion would be the Audiopipe AP1500.1D, 1500w RMS at 1 ohm. If your subs are anything other than dual 4's, let us know with a budget & we'll help you out somehow.

yeah its a 2ch and they are 600rms/1200peak,2ohm i believe but they made my sub in 2 and 4 and i cant remember what mine are
, ik they are DVC though and honestly i frgt what ohm load i have it wired for,its been a while since i had them out of the box i'll def check that tmrw though and as for budget,id say id prefere not to spend over 25-300,i love my audio but not enough to drop huge amounts of $ in to it
