Hello everyone

Im new to the forum, but definately not to gettin my hands a little greasy.

So, for all you 60v6 guys out there...

Heres what im workin witg, and my build plan:

Gen III 3100 w/aluminum heads
Basic mods so far.

Ive got this in the works:
Full P&P on intake manifold and cylinder heads(doing this myself, have a fully equipped shop in my back yard)
1.6:1 alum rockers
ARI cam, lift is 420 intake and 443 exhaust
OS stainless steel valves..not sure what i want to run here yet...
59mm MMS TB

WOT forged pistons...20 over, coated and yielding a 9.5 comp ratio
WOT Forged H beam con rods...
Megasquirt for tuning

4T65e w/HD upgraded diff..

Now, what i want to know...
What should i do for fuel, ignition..
I plan on getting a custom turbo manifold and running a t3 .60/.63 eventually..
Only lookin to boost about 9-11lbs..

My goal is 330whp.

Any tips, info, opinions..would be greatly appreciated.

Money is not an issue for me, ive been blessed with a good job and i have virtually no expenses..

Yall lemme know!

Stock ICM is more than enough for your needs, thats something that can really never be upgraded anyway.

Stock coil packs are hands down the best out there, MSD makes complete **** so don't buy them. A good copper spark plug with 2-3 heat ranges cooler than stock should be good. Figure 104's or 103's (autolite brand).

I don't know what fuel injectors the 3100's have stock, if they like the 3800's then I'd go with some 60 lbs injectors.

I bet 9-11lbs of boost on a turbo will make more than 330whp too. Turbo's are soo good at making power. Different platform here but some of the LS guys with bone stock 5.3's are going from 250-280whp stock to 400-450 to the tire on just a lower boost turbo system.

That is exactly what i needed. Thanks for the fast reply.

So just buy some new OE coils and colder plugs?

And what size valves would you suggest for this setup sir?

All im concerned about is building this little beast up and having a bottleneck somewhere along the line..I.E trans giving out, tuning trouble, etc...when its all said and done this is going to be a show car, ive always liked the underdog and the WOW factor..and this fits my bill..

IF you still have the OEM coils from the motor and they havent ever been a issue, just continue to run them. Or you could buy new ones if you wanted.

I'm not smart enough to know what size valves would be good for it but 90% of the 3800 guys use all the stock valves. They just port the heads and do a valve job and call it a day.

oooorrrr take that 3100 bring it to the JY, leave with a 3800, touch nothing but some gaskets, drop it in, turbo it and make 500..... just sayin... lol
