i bent my passenger front hitting a curb. been riding on a spare v6 rim thats painted black and just want it to not look ghetto with an oddball rim . this would be the chrome not the polished 5 spoke rim. PM me if you got a spare laying around and not needing.

TIA

thanks for the pic. looks like what i got. bensalem, hmm how far away is that from lancaster?

franklin mills is like 50-60min east from lancaster. any idea on price for the rim? i dont need the tire btw.

shoot me an offer man, ill take the tire off. i kind of want it because its a brand new good year and its a spare. i could throw an old tire on there and we can throw it on in my garage if you want. ill make a deal with you if you take me for a ride in that turbo GP lol never been in one

i should change my sig. the turbo was sold a year ago. its back to s/c and on a 3.5" pulley :-( the tire thats on my bent rim has like new tred

edot-im working on a 6.0l in my 98 firebird right now.

That's polished by the way. They never made a "chrome" rim for a GP. They're just highly polished is all.

sean there were 2 types of 5 spokes AFAIK...the polished chrome and aluminum where the aluminum flaked after a while IIRC.

Polished aluminum and painted aluminum. I know this seeing as I have the painted ones and two people I work with have the polished ones. I've taken a few of them off, they weigh the same.

Here's a model sheet with available trim and options listed for 1997. 1997-99 being the years that had these wheels available for GT/GTP. High Polish, and White for White Cars, are listed, Silver being the standard rim:

Edit: Feel free to reference the other years if you wish as well.

knew there were 2 types, just wasnt certain what the other one that oxidized/flaked besides the polished aluminum type

All but one of my painted ones are in pretty good shape, it's really just the polished aluminum ones that do. And it depends on the upkeep. Some people keep theirs in REALLY good shape, other don't and drive poorly resulting in curb rash which starts that flaking and oxidization.
