• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Lazy early shifts

Not so much a tuning question, but a pcm question nonetheless...The other day my sub box slid back from an aggressive dwnshift that tore out my pwr cable (0awg) from my amp. It was a 3rd-1st-3rd WOT, and when it shifted up to 3rd it was quite firm, almost a slam... Ever since its been upshifting early and not quite as firm as should be. Doing 55 Im turning 1200 rpm. I thought maybe a input/output sensor was bad, but scanned it and found nothing. Wasn't sure, as I still have a bad rear o2 sensor.

I've been ignoring it, but it almost seems its somewhat back to normal (still seems to labor more then it should, and shifts are still a lil soft). Im wondering if the pwr cable had a voltage spike that some how glitched the pcm, and its now slowly re-learning the shift points. That or I've gottn used to it. I was knockn at full tilt when it happened, so there was a serious drain on the alt (AD244 140a).

Unplug the battery for 10 mins and then drive it normally for a week and itll relearn back to normal.

Thanks Frosty. That'll be good info to remember in the future. I've been meaning to post an update but I keep forgetting. It seems that it relearned the shift points on its own. @ 55 its turning 2k again and what a happier car it is.
