Well sorry guys and gals but I don't visit this forum as often as I should and time has gotten away from me. :th_depressed:


The Kansas City Pontiac Motorsports Club are having a get together at the I-70 speedway in Odessa, MO tomorrow May, 3rd. We get into the track for free and get to do several laps out on the track with NO pace car and one rule.....don't hit the wall. :th_winking: If you would like more info pm me.

We are meeting in Odessa at the El Camino Mexican Restaraunt at 3pm and having lunch and then heading to the track about 4:30ish. We have to be in and parked at the track by 5pm.

If you can't make this one we are doing this again on Saturday, August 16th and would love to have anyone interested come out and join us! I will be happy to get a attendee list going. :th_thumbsup-wink:
 


Dang, James didn't tell me about this one till yesterday. I think he is just trying to leave me out of the fun, haha jk.
 
Ahhh, that was a great time last night! Here are some pics and vids if anyone would like to have a look. We had members from KC, Arkansas and St. Louis all converge on our tiny town of Odessa last night at I-70 Speedway.

Just got the new shoes put on the car and didnt want burn to much off, I still have another 4400 mile trip this summer to make on them...hehe

long story short, last year I could barely get a puff of smoke off the DR's I had on, so this year I put my stock tires, with about half tread on them with the full intention of smoking the hell out of them. If you go to the KCPMC site and view the video vault, you would see how many awesome burnouts there were last year. NO, no one hit anything!

If I went again, I would run the laps, but no out of town burn outs for me. 3.5 hour drive up for me...don't want to know how long the walk home would take.

For sure a fun event. The first time I went, took the work truck up cause I think my transmission was still apart at the time, and rode in a members GTO. Fun as hell driving on the banked walls for sure.

Again Curtis, that was one crazy sick burn out!:th_biggrin2::th_peaceout:
