L67 to L32 or?

Ok, so, I spun a bearing in my higher mileage l67, and am not sure which way to go with this. Should I rebuild what I have, or get a salvage yard engine, get a newer L32, get a longblock...... and the list goes on. Just a rough estimate, I'm prob going to have about 2k in rebuilding my current engine if it needs bored out. The cheapest "master kit" I found was about $1200. Then machine work and other odds and ends. I'm guessing on about $800-$900 maybe more for an L32, prob cheaper for an L67. Any input on this? I can't seem to make up my mind. I'm not trying to build a racecar, just something to play with. This engine had 3.4 w/ supporting mods. Thanks

L67's can be had for $400 or so

L32's $800+

If you can find an L32, it'll drop right in, will require your L67 rails, coolant temp sensor, map sensor, and o2 sensor. but that's it, can run it on your L67 tune

I would also need an adapter for my tb, right? I just found an l67 today, they want $600. They don't seem easy to come by here.

one more, if I get an L32, will my pulley work on the snout of the gen v charger, or even my whole snout?

you CAN'T run your L67 tune.

Just like you CAN'T run your 3.4 pulley on there.

You have to stay 0.2 pulley sizes larger with a Gen V blower.

dont you need the L32 pcm also? and isnt it an electronic throttle not cable driven throttle? how would you change that

Ok, so does the snout fit that blower? I can just buy a larger pulley for my mps. As far as the tune, I'm using hp tuners, so that can be adjusted.

now, the hard part is finding an l32.... If it's going to be a real pain, I'm just going to find another l67. Thanks for the info guys!

That's a good idea... What size pulley would I need for that then? If I do that, I might consider throwing a cam in it...

There's a L32 (longlock) with 60K for $450 where I live. Going to go look at it tomorrow. I don't need it but for that price I will totally upgrade from my L67.
