L67 Engine/transmission swap into L36

I need to be pointed in the right direction. Unless there's a major issue, I have a rebuilt '97 GTP (HD) transmission and a new long block L67 (and reclaimed hang-ons) that I'm wanting to install into my '02 GT L36, Anniversary Coupe. I have an entire '97 GTP car/parts.

Any issues with using the earlier transmission? Can I use the '97 pcm or do i need to find an '02 GTP pcm? Fuel pump? Any other considerations? Any links/write-ups on the subject would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you are going to swap the wire harness aswell you have to use the 97 PCM.

But if you want to use the 02 gtp pcm, then you need to a get a wire harness with it.

I did a swap into an 01 recently. Used it's original harness and modded the map connector. Not sure why you'd need a different harness. Only difference on the trans..and I'm not sure if you have it or not.. look at your 02 on top of the trans where the cable connects to the armeture that actuates the gear selector. Is there a black box under it like on the 97 trans? If not..I can point you to a post that give you the couple wires you'd need to tap into. It's very straightforward.

Was the swap a '01 to '01 or what years?
Fairly sure the '02 tranny has the external connect.
I'm familar with the mod connector, but do I need an '02 GTP PCM (and will it work correctly with '97 tranny - shifts, etc.) or will the '97 PCM work with the rest of the wiring/gauges/etc in the '02 car? I know there's a write up on adding the Perfomance Shift. What about the factory boost gauge? Is the wiring there? I believe the fuel pump wiring is different?

The wiring/computer is the part that concerns me.
