L26/l36 swap help

I was just wondering if someone can give me detail instructions or pictures as to what I have to extend for vaccum lines and anything else with putting an L26 INTO A 98 GT with an L36.

thanks for any kind of help

gee thanks everyone, it's hard to believe that NO ONE has EVER done this swap, and that they dont want to help AT ALL

Probably keeping the metal upper, which might require slight extending, but that's simple vacuum hose.

Do you have any more specific questions? Seems like you didn't post just about the vacuum lines, but with the blocks, heads etc all being nearly identical from an install point it's tough to guess what you'd like help with.

well I was told that I had to extend vacuum lines and stuff, but I don't know what ones where to and how do I extend them, plus is there anything else I have to do.

I'm getting the adapter plate and a throttle body for it, I know that I have to use my l36 fuel lines, is there nething else

Ok, that gives us a much better understanding of what you are asking.

From the outside an L26 is the same as an L36 except for the metal upper manifold and the drive by wire.

With that in mind, you'd use the adapter plate and your evap line to the port on the TB may need to be extended slightly. Other than that, you should be able to plug and play the rest. It's a straight forward swap once you put the engines side by side and ensure the evap set and rear manifold is swapped over.

ok so then all I have to do is extend just the vacuum lines from where they are now back to the throttle body after the engine is installed thats it?
