Knocking Noise While Braking

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I have a '05 GTP. Just had my 1 year old front rotors trued/shaved because they were warped. I get nice smooth braking now instead of that annoying shimmy in the steering wheel. But now, I'm getting a loud knocking noise coming from my front driver side wheel when I do a moderate to hard brake. It seems to be wheel speed dependent because the frequency of the knock decreases as the car slows down, almost like there's something on the rotor that's catching onto the caliper when I brake.

Here's what I did to troubleshoot:

1) I did a visual inspection just to see if I could notice anything blaringly wrong....................NOTHING!!!! Pads look good, rotor looks good.

2) I took the front driver side wheel off with the car in neutral and rotated the rotor to see if I could produce or hear the knock..............NOTHING!!!

3) I removed the caliper bolts. I removed the caliper from the bracket and reinstalled everything. I've greased the caliper pin/bolt like crazy so I'm fairly confident the caliper isn't sticking.

4) As a sanity check and to just cross it off the list, I even disconnected the wheel speed sensor to make sure the ABS wasn't engaging on me and I didn't realize it................NOTHING!!!.............still knocking on braking like crazy.

I've done a search on here to see what I could come up with and I couldn't find anything to help me out. I've googled "brake knock" and got alot of hits from other forums. But the info has been pointing to a few different things like subframe bolts or ball joints or "non-genuine" pads that move around in the slides upon braking. You guys are my last hope, otherwise I'll have to take it to a shop, when I got this gut feeling that its something straight forward that I just don't know about. Hopefully someone can help. THANKS!!!

This sounds similar to the noise im hearing. Sometimes mine is a knock and others depending on if I am accelerating or bracking its almost a creaking sound. I think mine is my intermediate shaft which also tends to go bad on most grand prixs impalas etc but just my 2 cents

Not sure if this was solved yet, but i know sometimes Pads may have some troubles with moving around in the brackets, The edges were the pads sit gets worn away Causing it to move up and down with the rotor, Causing a slight knock or clunk. Happened with my buddies old century

90oddz: So the "wear" item (for the sliding brake pads) would be...................................................................................caliper wear? Just askin.
