Knock Knock - What is it?

Update,

Dont look any further, it was the strut tower bearings both of them. very simple way to verify this,

have someone in the car apply the brake firmly and put the car in drive give the car a little gas and look at the top of the struts they should have verry litle play if any. my car had over an inch of play on the right side. replaced them and now it's like a new car.

by the way my sway bar was cracked on one side and the control arm bushings separated from the control arms but replacing those did not fix the issue, it was the stut tower bearings.

hope this help, it drove me nuts.

siverio, thanks for the tip, I'm gonna try that. Looks like my right side has alot more play than the left just by bouncing the car up and down.

Installed a new brake hardware kit from Napa today, has the new redesigned bolts and bushings. One of my bolts was worn bad and rusted. Still didnt take noise away. Looks like a strut issue/bearing. Only 30,000 miles on struts/bearings though, we'll see what happens...

I too had this problem with my 1997, after checking out all the obvious things I finally took it to the dealer. They found out that it was an ABS problem hahah. Simple fix.
