OMFG Howard Jones left Killswitch Engage!
By far my favorite artist and band.

"Well, I guess I will shed a little light without going too deep. As some of you may know, I've had a pretty interesting couple of years to say the least battling with some personal issues. One of the low points being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes that went unchecked for years. The rest of the band stuck with me through it, and to be honest they are the ones that kept me going. The whole experience definitely put a scare in me.


"Recently we've all been in writing mode but somehow I couldn't get excited about the new album and all the touring that would go with it. The guys saw it before I did. In hindsight I now realize that my heart wasn't in it.


"I have had an amazing decade with KSE. I love Justin, MikeD, Joel and Adam for hanging in there and standing by me no matter how bad it was. I have so many good memories, and those are the ones that I will keep. Will I be involved in music again? Sure, I have been in bands for a little over half my life, can't stop now. Until then, get the new KsE album, it's going to be good. Thanks everyone for letting me try to entertain you, and I wish myself well in my future endeavors. Gone fishin' Howard"

lol I respect your opinion. I think KSE is classified as Metalcore band... if you really want to put them in a genre. "it's generic music for people that don't know real musicians" yeah ok lol you can STFU.
 
yeah, metalcore isnt my thing. its super, crazy bland and i just cant get into it. don't get me wrong, i used to listen to them, but the more i got into heavier and less known stuff the more i felt like they sucked butt hole. :) in fact, most bands that would be considered 'death metal' have a much more fantastic lineup or artists that really know how to play.

but then again, if you listen to metal for the lead singer you're doing it wrong already....
 
That is pretty crazy. I used to really enjoy KsE but fell out as I matured. They always put on a great show live. Howard was probably one of my favorite frontmen. Not just his music but he was a really down to earth person. Really super nice but quiet as well. Best of luck to him.

Yeah, i know what you mean. Howard is a great guy, Ive been to 2 KSE concerts and they were great.
The band will live, they still have this crazy guy.

I used to listed to KSE years ago. I've gone back in time a bit and have been listening to some older stuff (Senses Fail specifically for some reason) but Killswitch hasn't made it back into the loop for me.
 


Good band. Hope he gets replaced with a quality musician. I enjoy their stuff, for what it is. It's a lot more polished than a lot of other music in the style.
