It's been a while since I've posted on here. My days of enjoying the GP have pretty much died since I moved from south to north Jersey. The fun times running strangers from light to light has now turned into waiting in heavy traffic. :th_lipssealed1:

Anyway, I have a somewhat funny story that you all may get a laugh out of. During my move that I mentioned above, I used the GP to transport all of my crap to my new apartment. And I mean ALL OF IT. I packed everything but furniture into the car to the point where I could not see over the mountain of stuff. I could not even see out the passenger side window. I also swapped out the 3.5 pulley for a 3.8 in order to save a little gas and maybe prolong the life of the car a bit.

Enter Cool Guy. Cool Guy drives a lowered Kia Soul and blasts sick tunes out of his opened windows. He's been up my ass while on a single lane road and is annoyed that I've been driving a bit slow given my car is LOADED full of stuff. We pull onto the highway and he immediately guns it to pass my encumbered gp. I don't know why, but I was amused to see how I would fare against him with a couple hundred pounds of junk in the car.

Needless to say, I stopped his pull and started to pull past his window with increasing speed. The guy had sunglasses on and neither smiled nor frowned, just stared. He stared at my car FULL of all my earthly possessions while I just grinned like Paul ****ing Walker and pulled away.

I hate those things, and I hate that some people think they are cool. There is someone around here that drives one. Every time I am out in the driveway working on my car and he drives by he will rev up like its some fast ass machine.
 
A lot of kids that drive Scion tC's also think they are fast. That always confused me.

i dunno why but I seem to always be able to get these cars to race me at a light. It's like running from a fat chick. I'm out and they are back there making all this noise still
 


We had a kid that got one when we graduated high school...from his parents, apparently.

Back when they first came out...and he picked up the TRD blower kit.

Was a decently quick little car for what it was.
