Keyless entry program fail

Im trying to program a gm keyfob to my 97 grand prix. I pulled the mall pgm fuse out, did everything else it said and the key fob still doesnt work.. it goes into programming mode and I held unlock and lock buttons and still nothing.

do you have the right fob for the year of car? from 97-03, there was about 4 different fobs, and they all wont work with each year...
