Key stuck in the ignition switch

I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 3800 Series III engine the other issue I am having with the car is that the ignition key is stuck in the ignition switch.It was fine and then out of the blue one night the key just wouldnt pull out of the ignition switch. It works fine in all the modes and the car is fully in park and it still won't come out for nothing. Any help with this issue would be greatly helpfull. Thank you!!
 


Look under the key switch for a panel. Pop the cover off and press the button that you see underneath. Should let the key come out.
