Key stuck in ignition, shifter wont move with key on...

Ok so after searching on here for a while i was unable to find anyone with the same problems. Its an 01 gtp the key wont return to the off position unless i push the manual release, the shifter wont come out of park with key on unless i push the release button, heres the kicker....when i turn the keu to start nothing happens. I have no door chimes or dome lights or dash lights when i turn key on. Battery is good. Sometimes a couple dash lights will flicker real lightly. Ignition switch? Neutral safety switch? Park solenoid? Need help please.....
 


Ignition switch is an easy fix but, I dunno. Is your heater, dic, headlights, heated seat working correctly? security light on? Those are typically the telltale signs of ignition switch failure.
 
No heat no lights ...no nothing. Car ran fine with zero problems an hour before this. Even swapped out the battery for one out of ky tuck just to be sure. Still no change.
 


The fact that you have no power makes it harder. I guess i would go and pick up an ignition switch (about $80) and e4 and e5 sockets. Switch it out, if it doesnt fix the problem return it.
 
solonoid in the steering column that communicates with the shift console. it sends a signal to the steering wheel when the the car is in park and ready to release the key
 
is it a pk3 key my friend had a CTS did similar things turned out to be theft control
