Key Fob??

Hi, I recently purchased a 97 Gp Gt from a tow company on e-bay. Now the tow company took the title to this car from a dui /accident owner who turned over the title and one key. My question is this: I think this car came with key fobs is there a way to know for sure? Secondly if it did can I buy a set and program them for it??

First place id go is the dealer, with the VIN. They can tell you if there is a fob for it, how much, and program it.

Entering Programming Mode
To program features, your vehicle must be in this
programming mode. Follow these steps:
1. Turn the ignition key to LOCK or OFF.
2. Remove the MALL PGM fuse from the instrument
panel fuse block. See “Fuses and Circuit Breakers”
in the Index.
3. Turn the ignition key to ACCESSORY.
4. Count the number of chimes you hear. You will hear
up to four chimes, depending on vehicle content. See
“Multifunction Alarm Locks and Lighting Choices”
earlier in this section.
You can now program your choices. After programming
a feature, you can exit the programming mode at
any time.

If you hear less than 3 chimes your car does not have remote keyless entry.

I recently got one from ebay and about a month later they barely work even when I'm really close I have to keep pressing the buttons and half the time it doesn't work maybe a bad battery?

Same here. I heard the keyless entry antenna needs to be moved out from dash for better and longer reach
