key fob reprogramming guide? 05 GP

I tried Google and many guide mentions the fuse but they seems to only work for '04 and not for newer GP. I have 2 key fob both were dead when I got the car. I put in new batteries but it still didn't do anything and I think it may need to be reprogrammed.

Or do I need to suck up to a stealership and hope they do it for free?

Just did a bunch of checking and the dealer programmed both of my new one's (E-bay $22.00) and cut me a new key and programmed it. Total charge was $40.00. I don't think you can do it yourself. Hell, I didn't even know my car had factory remote start. I love getting used to new cars...........NOT.:)

Need a tech2 tool to program remote so it is usually dealer only. You can however program your own key if you get another one cut.

only cost 25 dollars at the stealership? that sounds to good to be true, and yea you cant program you FOB, i wasnt able to program my own key i had to get a locksmith to do mine

It takes literally 3 seconds to program your own key as long as you have another key that is already programmed.

the stealership i work charges 80.00 to program keys and well....i have voiced my disgust over it but that falls on deaf ears

That's why I thought 40 bucks was pretty good for 2 fobs and a key. I will say that it took the guy about 7-8 minutes with his Tech 2. He did it in the parking lot. No parts were involved......just pure profit. 80 bucks is just silly. 40 dollars for less than 10 minute job is plenty IMHO.
