Have you all been able to program different remotes (meaning different GM#) onto the same vehicle?
I have one remote that works fine, but the other broke and in the past it has been possible to get different remotes to work on W Bodys, but with this 2000 it will not accept any new remotes.
Any tips? Anyone program their own FOBs? Never had an issue with any other car, but of course the one I own. :th_wtf:
One is from a 02 and the other is from a 98. From what I have read I thought any 97-00 remote would work on these cars? Again, been able to get other W-bodys to accept different FOBs. This is the first 00 that I have programmed though.
All the FOBs I have have the 4 buttons, lock, unlock, panic and trunk. Yes, the instructions on this site are what is being used for programming. Although some sites suggest not pulling the PCM fuse I have pulled it everytime.
