Key fob not working

My key fob for my 2000 GP doesnt work at all, i put a new battery in it and it still doesnt work. The inside of the back cover says to hold lock+unlock for 7 seconds to reset. I did that too and nothing. Ideas?
 


open it up and clean its board and the under side of the buttons with rubbing alcohol and Q tips.

if the battery was dead for a long time you may need to re program the fob to the car.
 
Well i cleaned gthe contact points with alcohol and found out the lock and unlock will work if i push them REALLY hard, so I think i just need to put something in between the button and contact.
 


I did the aluminum foil trick. It worked great for about 4 hrs. The next day, it's not working again. I'm assuming the foil fell off. Need to get some of that foil tape now.
