Keeps killing batteries

I have a 2001 gtp. It keeps killing my batteries randomly. One battery died. And so I put a new on in killed that one I'm a week. Recharged it. Killed it ago a couple days later. Charging system is good. I had my car running and pulled the positive lead on the battery and car ran fine. So I know the alternator isn't bad

test the power draw off the battery when its off, and then again when the battery is unhooked, seems like something is drawing power when the car is off.

any chance you installed a aftermarket radio or anything before this started to happen?

Nope. I just got the car not to long ago. My radio is stock but does something weird. The place it shows time and radio station well it goes haywire sometimes

if the battery is dyeing over night. pull the radio fuse, see if that helps. could be drawing power when the car is off.

If keeping the battery disconnected while you're not using your car is preventing it from dying, a parasitic load is likely the cause. You will need to monitor amperage while it's shut off to be sure. I'm not sure how it could die in 2 minutes, actually that's quite impossible...Must be another issue when that happens.

Dying that fast sounds exactly like what happened to my buddies car. His alternator was bad but if yours is good then it must be something else. As far as the radio going haywire, mine used to do that too. I just replaced it with an aftermarket one. There could be a possibility that the radio is drawing power through a short maybe.
