jVex Has Arrived!

Well what has brought me here is that my car has turned from a good deal, into a disaster. I bought this car right here: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/7264/d23871a0f0ca48c7954137b.png


For $2500, I couldn't go wrong at the moment. I needed transportation and it ran great. Had only 102k, new brakes, struts, suspension system, tyrods just about from what my local mechanic said "$1000 worth of new parts". He said the car was clean and it just needed a fix in the fuel line and a AC bypass because the Compressor is going to go soon.


So I was driving one day and my car randomly had no braking the fuel line snapped and the E-Brake wasn't working either. Not fun let me tell ya, but anyway I have joined the forum to get some advice because I would really like to keep this car for a while but at the moment it's just making my pocket fall into a deeper hole. I'll keep posting and hopefully stick around just as the car sticks around!

Not trying to chase away a new member, but since your vehicle is a Grand Am, and not a Grand Prix, you might want to try a Grand Am forum such as www.gaownersclub.com or www.grandamgt.com/ . However, the knowledge base on here is pretty dang good. And moderators, if I am out of line by posting this, please let me know and feel free to delete this post.

I will second the suggestion of asking on gawonersclub.com. I was a member there when I had a '97 GAGT, and saved THOUSANDS of dollars because of that site. Awesome site with great help.
