Just got my SE air dam today

The air dam has about 8-9 tabs that face down. They don't seem to be there for any support reason and they look pretty easy to bend off. Anyone know if there needed? I know I have to take two tabs off the top for it to fit since my car was not a SE. Anyone know?
 


The tabs on the bottom are supposed to fold backwards and the screws (push pins) go into them which makes the bottom look lower, I would recommend keeping them on but the last two towards the sides are kinda hard to get in but I'd suggest you keep them all on because they basically blow up the piece to make it look like it stands out more. Just mess with it a little and you'll get what I'm saying. Also the other two tabs on the sides are supposed to go into the side of the bumper (SE only) so your gonna have to either cut holes in your bumper or cut those tabs off.
