OK, I Just joined today and was asking how to do a Top Swap in my 2008 Prix 3800 i want to put a supercharger in it and all the bells and whistles but I just was Informed that the 08 Pontiac Grand Prix is run by CAN BUS so is there software to allow these upgrades or a way to replace the Can Bus System ?
just found out i have CAN-BUS system is there ways around it for tuning ?

what kind of computer is it, motorola? i know the modules at my work if you can get into the scripting part you can change stuff. it isnt car computer, but computer is computer you know? the only thing is, you need the data port to function with a laptop etc and be able to access it. then, you would need to know which file to mod (probably a .bin file, a PAIN to do if you have no idea what you are doing) and a program that can read/edit that .bin file. worth it? probably, if you ahve the time and money and friends to help out. look at the old school DSM community. they had programs and .bin mods shared on a yahoo group. its just a different medium to get to that file and tune..anyone want to do it tho? probably not.
