i just bought a 1997 grand prix se
can i get some ideas of wat to do so i can **** on some rice burners?

Yeah if you got a 3.1 it's gunna to be hard. But not impossible. I'll get back to you on some links for these 3.1s.
 


GT has the non-supercharged 3.8L and the SE has the 3.1L I remember reading that some SEs had the option of the 3.8L, but most had the 3.1L.
 
dont even waste money trying to make a 3.1 fast, thats like trying to make power on motor with a L36, it just simply needs the M90:th_biggrin2:
 




You can do a little with a 3.1.
One my old car I had the mufflers chopped off, RAI, Ported the UIM myself, Ported the TB myself, They do sell a chip for them I believe or least for the OBD 1's they did.

The do sell some stuff for them tho
You can get a Cam, Headers, Top swap from other 60 degree v6's. And then there is always NOS.

I beat a guy that had a Vic easy.

One good thing about the engine is that after the head and intake gaskets are fixed and trans is good it will run forever and get pretty good MPG's on the highway.
