Hey guys, this site looks like a great source of information! My name is Jay, I just bought my first Grand Prix a few days ago. It was inexpensive and has high killometers (250k) but it's clean inside and out, starts and runs smooth but there are a few problems. (randomly stalled on me yesterday and the tranny light is on) I am mainly here to learn about the car so I can fix and maintain the car myself. I have always done most of the work on my vehicles myself. I always liked Grand Prix's and I am now happy to own one. Im going to have the oil changed today and I still need to do an emissions test on it.
 




Had my coedes read P0102, P0403, P0405 Mass air flow and Egr related, unfortunately I had left the Egr valve unplugged when i took it apart for inspection/cleaning. I had the codes cleared but check engine light came back on shortly after ruining my plans to get emissions testing donw while the dodes where cleared. I will be having the codes read again within a few days, it should just be the P0102 that shows up, unless I can troubleshoot and solve the issue before that. I found instructions on the site for how to clean the sensor and how to test for power and frequency.
