Hey all--
Just bought an 04 GTP yesterday and ready to start modding. Never owned a Pontiac before so I'm excited to learn something new. just wanted to say hey to everyone on here!

Welcome aboard.

My first modding suggestion would be intake and custom tuned PCM. Not too expensive, and you will love the PCM.

im rite there with ya... theres an 04 gp gtp thas already mine i jus gotta pick it up on tuesday im so stoked!

I'm lovin every minute of it. Even stock, it's a lot of fun to open it up. I traded in an 03 Kia spectra with 3 of the 4 cylinders misfiring, and the exhaust 60% blocked by metal shavings from the engine basically destroying itself.... so you can imagine the difference haha.

Thanks for the tip. Where do you recommend getting these parts from? There's some local shops here in Indianapolis, but none that I necessarily trust. And they're PRICEY.

When I bought my first PCM it was from zzPerformance in Michigan. The reason I chose that one is that they are "unlocked" which means if you know someone with a tuner...you can go edit it yourself. It REALLY wakes up your car compared to the stock tune. And as far as bang for the buck... its really worth it.

ZZ Performance

As far as the intake goes, I prefer to make my own. (the pre-made ones are expensive) Look in the HOW TO section to make one.

I used some 3" PVC and a Cone Filter... cost me less than $75 bucks. Once you remove that stock airbox... your gonna love the supercharger whine when you open it up.

Once again, welcome aboard....read and read... you'll be faster before you know it ;)

haha yeah i feel ya... ive been driving a 94 camaro for the past 2 years that has an airflow sensor problem even after replacing it and takin it to various shops so it idles at about 3500 rpm n the speedo doesnt even work haha i hit the gas and it moves 3 seconds later! so i cant wait to get in my new baby... or to start modding it... its about time i spend my money on somethin worthwhile n useful ha
