Junkyard Supercharger

I'm planning on looking for a 2005 GTP at a junkyard. I would like to take the supercharger out of it and stick it in my GT. Is that risky? I wouldn't want to buy a used supercharger that's been sitting for 3 years and starting to rust. What are signs that a used supercharger is bad and shouldn't be bought? What's a reasonable price for a junkyard supercharger?
 


the blower is more than likely just fine unless it makes noises when spinning it.

you can get a genV from a LKQ yard for ~$350.
 
There is a lot more to just sticking a supercharger on the car.
As far as junk yard blowers like that eh. If you are planing the project of a top end swap go to moradpartscompany.com
