Just picked up a '98 GTP yesterday, loving it so far. 1-owners car, very clean. BONE STOCK. It was owned by an older couple who kept it in the garage and well maintained.

Here's some pics for fun. Carts the wife and kids around nicely.

Not sure about that. The Volvo is already laying down about 250whp. The thing is just a demon, and pulls hard to 150. Off the line through the 1/4 the Prix has it licked, but highway runs, it would take a lot of work. Either way, I love the GTP for that off-the-line arse raping it lays down.

Miles show 200k on the odo, but it sounds like the cluster was swapped at one point, due to a fauly speedo. Original owner said is they had to guess, probably around 160k.

The tune from iPD wakes them up a lot, but yeah, there are a few other things done. They are around 235whp factory. I have one of 50 that are manual, the auto loses a lot through the drivetrain. My bsaeline was 232.6. Last dyno was 249.7.

LOL ^^ Wbodies fall on their face on the interstate. after about 100 mph. A gear change cam and tune will fix that lol !!

Nice clean car, now get that restrictive air box outa there and slap a big air filter on the throttle body to hear that supercharger whine!

And headers...PCM...180*...plugs/wires...and a 3.4". Give that Volvo a run for its money...a basic 3.4" setup adds about 30-50 FWHP.

Unfortunately, it'll probably be a while before anything gets modded on the car. I've got my other bike engine torn down for a rebuild, and a turbo upgrade.

Although, I might do a couple of the little things. We'll have to see how much the machine work is going to cost first. I'm dreading that bill!
 


Hmm, I noticed that the stock airbox in that car looks different from some of the other 97-03 ones I have seen. Maybe I'm just crazy though...

If you were closer, I'd take you for a ride. That Volvo is a serious trip! I love rolling up on the ricers and giving them a spankin', dad-wagon style!
