Ha Ha, dont take the title that way lol JK! I have always loved grilling and has become a hobby of mine over the years which I guess explains why I have 3 different grills on my patio! I bought a smoker a few years ago and love using it and experimenting looking for that magic recipe, and while everyone that eats the food coming off of it telling me how amazing it is I am always saying it could be better and never 100% happy with the turnout lol. Nothing better to me than kicking back with a beer in hand and sitting out in the sun letting your nose run wild with the smoke of the grill

Thats why I never got into grilling and smoking. I would never be happy with it, I would always be pursuing the ultimate recipe and before you know it I would have this trailer towed smoker/griller and traveling to all the BBQ contests spending insane amounts of money on meat, spices, tools, gadgets, etc. in the pursuit of trying to do better.

Ewww, I just shudder at the thought. Man, see what you done.

LOL sorry Scotty! Me and my father-in-law talk about that now and then and everyone says he should open up a bbq place and we should take a stab at it. Maybe if you are anyone else makes a trip up here for a weekend I will share! Ive got pulled pork down pat! A lot of people cut the meat up after smoking it, I literally take the whole thing apart with two forks.... MMMmmmmmm!!!! Im getting hungry again!

Couldn't agree more. I love grilling! Haven't had much chance for quite awhile though.

Well Tranny if you make the trek down here. The Grillin is on me my friend!!! :D

And Corn on the Cob is coming into season now. Nothing like GOOD grilled corn on the cob!! FTW!!!1

Triple Edge Performance & Pulled Pork. People could eat AND get their cars worked on at the same damn time. My dad and I used to grill out everyday of the summer. Usually use the gas grill, but everything is delicious off the charcoal one, just takes a little longer, but worth it, cooked a turkey on it once. We got rid off our smoker a couple years ago, didn't use it much. Winter has confined me to the broiler on the oven :(

I love grilling and smoking, but my family wants everything burnt so it rarely happens (not to mention my grill didn't care for the climate change from MI and started to rust int eh mounts)

I grilled steaks for the first time in my life the other day. I always heard it was hard to mess one up, and I didnt. little much on the tenderizer and used an off the shelf montreal steak seasoning and it was delish. I automatically wanted better. Probably gonna do it again next week.

buy decent steaks and leave the tenderizer off, especially if marinating (a marinade will tenderize) I don't even have any tenderizer in my house (haven't used it since I learned to cook properly 20 years ago)

I let my steak sit in Lee and Perrins and I put season salt and some pepper and then cover the steak in garlic powder. I love it seasoned that way but Dave doesnt care much for the Lee and Perrins on it. So he seasons his own steaks.

Well I got to use my smoker for the first time this year and I smoked up some beef brisket and pork ribs. That was by far the best brisket I have made and wow did it come out tender! A good friend gave me some small logs of apple wood last summer and I used those and they gave a very good flavor to the meat. Brisket can be tricky and takes a long time to smoke to get it tender and I dont think I could have got it much better. The day started off pretty warm and really seemed to cool off but overall was a nice day for smokin' :th_thumbsup-wink:

That's awesome I am jealous as I didn't get to do anything today in the beautiful weather cuz' I was stuck at work.
