Issue with ABS module or wheel speed sensor.

I have been having issues with my braking as of late. It seems to happen right after I first turn the car on and apply the brakes the first time, I get a "gravel" feel to the brake pedal and no ABS or Trac control light pops up and It doesn't feel as if the ABS is kicking on(more of a pumping feeling). It also happens some times when braking and turning at low speeds in parking lots. I believe its in the front left, coincidentally I haven't bleed that recently as it has a stuck bleeder(I have extras but I was being lazy).

For some history; First time I had an issue with the ABS was when I was going for inspection, a few months ago, and I got a warning to service the ABS, it went away after I cleared it and never came back. That morning it had been raining rather hard. Fast forward a few months and my LR brake line burst and completely drain the master(I might of got some air into the ABS). I replace the line, bleed all four corners and I replaced the brakes/rotors around this time too. The pedal felt almost back to normal but it have a different feel to it every time I hit the brakes. Sometimes it was really firm and others it was softer but the differences were negligible.

So, today it has been raining and I had the pedal go "gravel" when driving through a parking lot. I checked the pedal with the car off and it seems slightly softer then before. So later in the day I went down some really uneven roads to see if the ABS would kick it when braking, it did not. It did kick in when I spun tires on the wet pavement though. The only time I can get this issue to reliably come up is the first time I hit the brakes after starting the car.

What should I check tomorrow? Should I check for corrosion or a loose wire for the wheel speed sensor(I found directions for older GMs, 95-03 Blazer, S10 etc...) Should I bleed the brakes to see if air did get trapped in the ABS and it finally worked its way out?

I wasnt planning on bleeding the ABS, just the wheels. I was wondering if this could be an issue with the wheel speed sensor or air in the lines. Also, if I remember right, ScottyDoggs doesn't live far from me.

you dont need a scan tool to bleed the abs, when you bleed your brakes your also bleeding the abs.

your ebcm maybe going bad.
