• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Is this safe?

I have an 06 GP i just went from a 3.6 pulley with 0 knock and 12.x boost to a 3.4 pulley with 1-2* of knock and not tuned 100% for it. The highest boost i saw was 16.2 at WOT.

My mods are:
Headers
Open cone
Plugs
180 t stat
Overkill tune
Once i install my 1.9 rockers will the KR be gone? I will be getting a custom tune eventually but i want to drive it with the 3.4 until then. Its too much fun :) lol will it be safe?

What units are your boost readings in? That can't be PSI, the stock MAP won't even read that high.

Thats what my Aeroforce read. Its in PSI.... so i dont know lol but it does 15.x easily and after driving around for a while i didnt see any knock even at WOT. I will be getting it re tuned and having those rockers installed this weekend so it will be running awesome!

How are you anywhere near that high of PSI? I'm running a 3.4 with stock manifolds and see only around 11lbs.

He's not. In the first place, it makes no sense on headers unless the cat is completely clogged or something was pinched shut. Even if that was the case, the MAP is only a two bar sensor, which means it maxes out at 14.7 PSI. I remember reading something about screwy boost readings from an Aeroforce, but that was a long time ago and I can't remember any specifics.

something is clogged, you should be running around 10 lbs with that pulley. Get a proper mechanical boost gauge to confim actual readings.

Can't we just swap out to a GM 3-Bar and take care of that issue?

I don't know how to recalibrate the computer for that. Switching from a 1 bar to 2 bar with a top swap requires using an L67 computer calibration. We don't have any ready to go for a 3 bar.

I dont know how or why its reading that high. I have no Cat anyways so it isnt clogged. I do have an exhaust leak but i dont know if that will affect the boost readings. And if the aeroforce isnt reading it properly then it isnt really a big deal to me as long as my car isnt going to blow up lol.

Edit im also with the GenV blower and running with 17-18* of timing at WOT

just a question but isn't the parameters on the over kill pcm different then if u were to walk in and get a dyno tune. im pretty sure overkill has certain things he tweaks that maybe a dyno tune might not due. just a question because me and him have the same car and the same mods except for the pcm tune and i want rockers too.
