Is there a way to tell what's causing kr? I think I have enough supporting mods to run a 3.6 pulley but can't even run a 3.8 without kr. Kr usually starts at 3000 rpm gets up to 2.5-3* and will drop to nothing then start again at 4700 and will go up to 5* I let off bf it goes up anymore.

I have an 04 gtp 103 plugs gapped at .50, 180 thermostat, fwi, walbro fuel pump, new fuel filter, yt 1.84 rockers, zzp 3" down pipe w/o cat, front plog, and an intense can tune.

Does this sound like a tune issue? Or is there something else I could try to see what's going on?
 


He tuned it in car sort of...he drove it up and down the street wide open, and it just barely got a blip of kr. All I had then was a hot air intake, and a stock exhaust without a cat. Now I've done all this to it and I'm getting kr.

What happens if your plugs are too cold? Just poor gas milage or can it cause kr?
 
not sure if the plug can cause kr. 104's gapped at 0.50 work good.

but with your smaller pulley now i bet you need lower timing. as it was tuned for a stock car.
 
I put the 3.8 back on to be safe...I thought...ans still get the same amount. I have an areoforce, how much it too much timing advance?

I'll call intense in the morning and talk to them about it.
 




Maybe, not sure on the 1.84's but on my 1.9 modded rockers I had a FWI, headers, and the 1.9's and had 8-9* KR Before we started tuning at the top of 2nd gear, he got it down to 2-3 KR, claiming it was valve float, could be a possibility
 
what causes KR? too much boost, not enough fuel, too much timing, too much load.
what else are you scanning in conjunction with KR to see the whole picture? What is your B1S1 doing during this time? what is LTFT locking in at? what's the commanded timing look like? How's the MAF frequency and MAP values when you see KR? you need to review the whole picture and correlate the operating conditions.

The intense canned tune (way back in the day), they were notorious for bumping the timing way up and not keeping up the fueling. But that was 10 years ago, I'm sure things are different now.
 
I called and talked to them earlier, he told me to check for vacum leaks and that if my long term was 0 or less I'm getting enough fuel and something else was causing it.

What values should I be looking for with the maf frequency and the map values?
