Is there a throttle body relearn procedure on the series 2 SC engines?

Should be series II SC. Phone auto corrected to Scott... Sorry.

I am helping a friend with a early 2000s gtp. During a tune up he decided the throttle body was needing clean so he yanked it.
It was literally the nastiest tb I have every seen. We cleaned it and put it all back on with a new gasket but it is running rough. We have tripled checked everything we can think on but it still runs rough.

In edit : The iac and tps were replaced as well at that time. Swapping them out for the old ones didn't help.
Is there a relearn procedure we should have followed here?

that wont help.

check the vac line off the tb, the fat one, it maybe cracked. also the new gasket maybe leaking.

make sure the plug wires are on right too.

Did you remove the maf or spray it as well?

Try unplugging it and starting it up. Run any better?

Plugs and wires are good double checked all that. I sprayed carb cleaner around the gasket area doesn't raise or lower the Rpms I pulled the vacuum hose and it about died. I pulled the plug on the new and old maf it didn't seem to much. New maf is a dealer item.

check fuse 21, and the wires to the maf, if you see cracks or bare wires, the pig tail is bad.

Today I decided to replace the battery in the car. It had about a 13 year old optima red top in it. I ran the car for about 45 minutes tonight and it is running so much smoother than before. None of the issues were present.

The optima has been charging but I have noticed it has been draining down after several days of not running it while i had it. I also noticed that the blinkers would put a draw on the system while they were blinking. That was verified by installing a autometer volt meter gauge. I cannot imagine this fixing the entire issues we had but the car really feels dang near 100% I did go over the connections and wiring to the sensors but nothing seemed bad.

What say you?
