so im about to replace my temperature sensor once again, i got another junk one. but damn is it a PITA with the intake on lol. i cant ever get them as tight as id want with the wrench. do you all have any tips on being able to do this with a little more ease

I used to use a crows foot with a 6" extension and a ratchet to get it broke loose/tightened all the way. Now I have zzp headers though so mines easy to get to

i may try the crows foot, as most of you all know ive went thru 4 bad new sensors so far. so im going to the junk yard to get one now. im tired of fighting the sensor in and out lol

if you can get a ratcheting box wrench on the sensor that would be the easiest way id think. its what i used to do my header install. as a socket just dont fit in there so well to all the bolts.

i got one from advance auto, auto zone, napa and through gm and got a acdelco and none want to work wright. i just tested the wires so i know thats not it. i cant belive how many of theses temp sensors are junk, antifreeze aint cheap its driving me crazy

Yeah I know what you mean. I can't believe how many of them are ****. Most people have to go through three or so to get a good one.

I know this is an older thread but this made my life easier and hopefully save someone else's sanity and rocker panel from a hammer lol. I cut the combination wrench to a little less than half of it and was able to work on it easily by pushing the rad hose down.

I used a deep 12 pt socket with a 3/8" ratchet. One click at a time, but went on fine. Forgot to put the damn thing back on the intake before reinstalling after doing the LIM gaskets.
