Is my valve cover breather to blame?

So, this weekend I installed my turbo kit onto my 03 impala along with my VCB. All is running well except my vacuum has dropped semi dramatically. It used to range from 7-22 now with the VCB/turbo it ranges from 5-11 during idle and easy driving. This morning I took the VCB off and placed my hand over the hole in the valve cover. While my vacuum increased to 20 ish, the engine died. Is this normal to lose half my vacuum?

I changed the stock 24# to 60#. My LTFT and STFT are -40 and -19 during idle and I suppose the vacuum has something to do with this. I am thinking the above issue has something to do with this but I know they'll need tuned in after the vacuum issue.

Any help/thoughts is appreciated.

Thanks,
Slim

I plugged the hole in the UIM and also used a throttle body spacer. Do I still/also need to plug the TB hole? I thought it didn't go through...

Fosh099, you were on the right track. It was my PCV system, apparently I made a frustrated mistake and assumed my PCV valve was good. Somehow through all the shifting it went bad I guess. I used JB Weld to disable the valve (completely filled the valve full) and the vacuum system is even better than before. I'm seeing up to 24 pounds where I use to only see up to 22 pounds.

Just thought I'd post so anyone in the future might get help.

i had an analog gauge and it used to read 20 pounds of vaccume.. switched to a digital reads 11
