• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Is my oil pan F'd

I should of asked this in the first place, but if I put a new oil level sensor in will it affect how it will read? I took the old senosor out and it was diagnol. It was pointing downwards.

theres an oil pick up tube in there as well with the screen on the bottom hopefully you didnt crush that . also the oil level sensor should be straight.

who cares if it reads right, Thats why you have a dip stick. I would put it back in and check for leaks, if there are no leaks then rock it.

Lol true.. The only reason I noticed it was it was leaking oil down on the floor. Not a whole lot, but yea.

Its worse than I thought. Where the sender screws in is fine but the pan around it is egg shaped.so basically its all exposed so any debris will be able to get in. Looks like I'm replacing the trans sooner than I thought. O well knock em both out at the same time I guess.

Good time to upgrade to the aluminum pan and do away with the horse shoe bracket. Little bit of grinding on the cradle and it fits like a glove.
