Is it worth it Powertrain Swap

WindsorGP

Well is it worth it? Found a GTP sitting at the wreckers last friday still thinking is it worth the hassel of doing a Powertrain Swap out of my GT for a GTP. If I do what is what's needed along with the motor and trans, I would like some info or opinions to help with the decision, so can anybody help me out with this in the next few days before it's to late.

I think the cradle's different, but not 100%. I think it's different in the Imps, but we have the aluminum cradles so already it's different than with the GP.

Other than that, it'll drop right in. You'll need some add-on wiring for your wire harness, but that's it. Worth it, it's up to you. It's easier to mod a vehicle that came from the factory with forced induction rather than mod a N/A vehicle to forced induction.

That being said, I don't think I would. I've passed up a few L67s so far. Going N/A for the time being suits me, and if I want some serious power everything I do now will support a turbo later. Then I'll be leaving the L67s behind. :D

if you only want to run 13s, then swap in the l67. it's not that hard and you'll enjoy driving your car a lot more.

if you're looking to go faster than that just hold out for a turbo setup.

who hasnt? im just saying its way easy to build a 13 second l67 when you could much more easily go way faster with a turbo setup on stock heads and cam.

Would it better to swap the top end or just the motor and trans cause I can get them for around 500, the only thing though is the cluster reads just under 300k sorry guys i'm canadian just don't know what that would be in miles.
