Is it possible to install remote starter and use Fob from 2005 on GP GT2 2004?

Hi, I am a new guy. Just bought GP GT2 2004(first time Pontiac owner) and like it a lot. The only thing is missing is remote starter. I know you can install off market one. But I saw the 2005 fob that has 5 buttons. So my question is: is it possible somehow use that fob with my 2004 and add remote start option? Can I install that remote starter (or package) from 05 on my 04? Any input is appreciated. I am willing to try anything that does not require expensive equipment. I would install it myself if possible. My budget is up to $150, but would like to spend less. If I need to see dealer to program a new Fob I will. If I cannot use 05 Fob, please recommend a good inexpensive remote starter/keyless entry kit/system that would lock, unlock, open trunk, have panic button and start the car.
Thanks

I got the factory remote setup i took from a g6 and have it in my 04, the door locks and everything works with extended range, but i still have to get an 05 bcm with the same options as mine + remote start so that the remote starting will be supported. As for the hood switch for the factory setup a resister will make it think there is one, forget the exact value but i will let you know as soon as i can find a bcm to try it.

The mileage on the display would not be affected, but the mileage stored in the bcm itself will be different.
I will let you know as soon as I can find an 05 bcm and give it a try to see how it works.
