• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Is a catback (stock or aftermarket) required?

Not too long ago I saw a guy post a pic/video of his car and his exhaust stopped at the end of his down pipe. I understand this won't evacuate fumes to the rear but is it an option? I don't think it'd effect the turbo engines function but I'd like a confirmation. Even pros and cons. Just thinking in a public forum.

I've never tried it, trying to figure why he did. And I was asking if it would effect it as I could not see any affect in theory.

Thanks

Nah it sounds amazing and you should do it. The cops dont usually mind if you tell them its a racecar.

Lol! Wow, that took a turn I wasn't expecting.

So it's loud, but annoyingly loud like when I had to drive home with just headers installed and no exhaust! Loud enough I was surprised the two cops I passed didn't pull me over.

Buy an electric cutout. It helps the turbo spool a lot faster. I have to use two tunes though. One for open and one closed because my car goes lean at Wot if I open it without changing the tune. I only open mine at the track because it is loud as hell.

^ this. My car spooled a tad bit faster with the cutout open (PT-61). Before the trans took a dump on mine I left it open all the time and never had an issue with LE. Granted, I also didn't drive the piss out of my car on a daily basis and loved the way it sounded. Highway speeds the drone can get annoying though. With that in mind a cutout solves this problem because it can be capped when you don't wont the loud exhaust.

You have a problem with him??
