I was looking into a full HU but honestly seems either way i go im gonna have around 500 bucks wrapped up in that when all i REALLY want is the ability to play MP3's in my car be it from my android phone (via RCA/aux in) or a cheap iPod.
Several adapters claim to be able to integrate an iPod to the factory deck and be able to use the steering wheel controls. steering wheel controls are a deal breaker. if i go iPod I WANT THIS.
Has anyone here done so with great success and which parts did you use?
for those intending to come in and say replace the HU...no. just go somewhere else. it's a couple benj's for a decent deck (or more), another one for the adapter harness, another for the steering wheel controls, etc. I figure i can be into a compatible iPod setup for well under 200 bucks. easy.
