what is the good of the ipad, its nothing but an over sized ipod. i have a iphone, a ipod touch and a laptop, so i have no need for it but i still want one and dont know why

I like my Samsung Vice. I've used an IPhone and an MacBook, but i'm a Windows fan, couldn't afford a Mac when I got my laptop and needed Microsoft Office document formats before Office for Mac came out so I didn't consider it. Oh and I have a Creative Zen Micro 5gb, IBM desktop, PS3, Wii, Xbox and PS2. No need for a touch or a phone here too.

How is windows 7 compared to vista? I bought this new laptop in august of last year with vista, and now windows 7 is readily available. Vista sucks balls. Never used 7. Want a better operating system. Linux, no. Mac, no since I have no experience with either and don't want to buy another new computer so I can have Mac. Just wondering if 7 is better than Vista.
 
Yes 7 is better than Vista. It is faster because of a smaller kernel and has special shortcuts on the taskbar for programs. I haven't used it myself, but I watched one of my friends using it and it was really quick to load windows and when the desktop loaded there wasn't a waiting period for programs to be able to be opened like Vista. Mind you they were using 64bit on an Alienware with 4gb of RAM, but I can see how it would benefit my system though that only has 2gb of RAM.
 


In theory it seems great but i also have an Iphone, Ipod touch(walking to class tunes), Ipod classic (fm transmitter duty), a 17" dell, and a MSI U120 net book(10"). so for me it would just add to my huge collection of electronics that i could possibly live with out.
 
I haven't used a Phone that runs as smooth and easy as the iPhone. Dispite the cracks on my screen i'd still rather have this phone than any other. You cannot name one phone that runs the Internet as smoothly and quick as the iPhone. Apple is innovative and other companies copy. That's why I'm a constant buyer.
 
I have a laptop (hp tablet) regular desktop computer (hp) and an en-v2 (lg)
But I am stuck on Ipod's I had an Itouch and loved it i have had a classic and a couple nano's no real issues with any of them and the new Ipad thing its a waste but id get one if i could

I've had Vista on my computer for about 4 years. It is dual core 1.83ghz and 4gb ram. I never ran into any problems with the operating system.. Actually I was able to use anything I wanted after about 10 seconds of "warming up" the desktop. I don't understand why people dog on Vista so much... I just stand behind them, agree, and say "yea, who uses vista anyways..." lol

Vista is a great OS.. people that complain are to cheap to buy a good pc..
