Introduction and hello

Hi,

I'm Monty from West Virginia. I don't own a Grand Prix, but joined because of the knowledge I found in the transmission forum; particularly concerning the 4t65e. I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrgue with nearly 200,000 miles on it. The tranny finally gave up the ghost and decided it didn't feel like shifting into 2nd anymore. I know how it feels. Sometimes I don't feel like shifting into 2ng gear either.

I have been working on cars for over 30 years out of necessity. Being mechanically inclined, I decided that I should at least experience an automatic transmission overhaul once in my life. So, thanks to the Intrigue and the 4t65e, I can scratch that off my bucket list...well, almost. t65e I have the tranny out and disassembled as per the ATSG 4t65e book. I probably should hae found a better way to organize all the parts. I just threw them all in a box...just kidding. I labeled everything with price tags, bagged them up and kept the sub-assembly parts together.

Since this is an introduction thread, I won't go into detail about the overhaul here. I'll start asking questions in the tranny forum.

Have a great day!

Welcome to the forum! There are many people here who do not own a Grand Prix, but the Intrigue is still a W-body so it's all good. Hope you find all the answers you're after!

Ask questions?

Heck with that...post some pics and offer some explanation along the way. LOL

Welcome
