Internals swap

What kind of problems would I run into if I took the internals out of one engine and put them into another piece by piece? Obvious would be the rings, but what kind of consequences would that have? Reason I'm thinking about it is because the donor motor has unrepairable block damage from an accident. The other lost a piston. Thoughts/advice?
 


If you don't have the knowledge and experience of rebuilding engines, I would not suggest such a swap on a 3800. The parts and machine work required would cost considerably more than say a good used running long or short block.
 
I don't plan on doing any machine work, just straight put everything piece by piece into a different block, bearings and all.
 
Without using plastigauge and almost align boring, things will distort and cause you issues relatively quickly if you just swap parts.
