Intermittent trans issue... is it finally toast?

I was driving my 05 grand prix the other day when I came up to a stop sign, and my car suddenly didn't want to move in gear. I limped it across the street and shut it off, and after a few minutes I started it up, and drove it for a couple miles before the same thing happened at the next stop sign. Every time it happens It only starts moving again once I shut it off and start it back up.

I'm looking for opinions and suggestions before I start tearing into it as to what it could be. It has almost 170,000 on the trans, so I'm almost sure it is due for a rebuild.

I think I narrowed it down to the pressure control solenoid. I'm going to attempt to replace all the solenoids myself. From my understanding I will have to drop the cradle 5-6 inches and pull everything out around the driver side front tire to have enough room to get the cover off the trans.
My only question is, can I get away with just pulling both dogbone mounts, and leave everything else in the engine bay connected? I know I have to atleast pull all four cradle bolts, driver side strut, trans mount, tie rod, axle, and brake caliper, and unhook the sway bar. Beyond that I'm not entirely sure. If anyone has a detailed write up that would be greatly appreciated.

I just got done replacing 5 solenoids in the trans; shift solenoids, tcc, epc, and mps. I topped off the fluid, but now the car doesn't move at all in any gear. I used oem ACdelco solenoids and verified the fluid level is good.

What did the pan/magnet look like?
Are there any codes?
If you leave the cooler *return* line disconnected, do you see fluid flow?

I finally got around to dropping the pan on the car... There was so much material built up in the pan and inside the filter. I put a new filter/fluid in, and everything is working as it should now. I put about 150 miles on the car without any issue. It's definitely going to need a rebuild before next year. For now I just put some Lucas in it, and I'm going to drive it for another month or so.
