Intermittent driver door lock no worky

My driver door look has been acting up and sometimes doesn't look or unlock with the rest of the doors. I don't hear any clicking from the driver door when I hit the unlock switch. I assume this is the actuator inside my driver door going bad? Is there anything else I should look for? It's working better today than rainy yesterday.

Pretty sure the actuator doesn't work have the time. Do I'll have to replace it but my biggest issue is I broke the red plastic connector on the back of the lock cylinder that connects that and the rod that goes to the actuator. Anyone have a partnumber on that connector?

Dorman has a multipak that should have the clip if you can't find one elsewhere.

That being said, did you bother even checking and cleaning the electrical contacts? There is a known issue with Grand Prixs and "fretting" which is vibration induced micro corrosion that increases the resistance of the contacts and causes intermittent failures.

It's known to happen enough that GM has a TSB about it to basically "unplug it and plug it back in and retest before replacing it"

I did and it seems to help some but it's still not 100%, all though when I use the lock knob it now unlocks all the door, never did that since I owned the car. Is there any benefit to opening the module up, looks to be sealed with torx?

I was more worried about the plastic connector as it completely prevents me from driving the car compared to an inconvenience.

The Dorman kit does NOT fit 04+ GPs for anyone wondering. Does anyone have the diagram or picture on how the lock/accurator rod connects? I spent 2 hours trying to get it on with no luck.
