I've had my intercooler for years, but every now and then I have a problem with exchanger scraping the road or curb when I come in to low or drive over a low spot or dip in the road. So I want to raise it up. For those who have theirs up higher does that bumper foam padding or whatever it's called have to come out? If so do you have any kind of issues without it? From looking at it...it doesn't look like the bumper would have much support without it.

when I put in my intercooler I built a custom bar to mount the heat exchanger to. the bottom of the heat exchanger is at the same level of the radiator. the pictures are not very good, but better than nothing.
